  • Our Philosophy

The philosophy of the Nursing Department at Dallah Hospital is based on respect for the individuals, dignity and worth. We believe all patients have the right to receive effective nursing care. This care is a personal service that stems out of patients’ needs and their clinical diseases or conditions. The nursing service participates in a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care and encourages collaboration with the wider multidisciplinary team to include patient’s relatives. The provision of high quality patient-centeric care underpinned by evidence, best practice and professional guidelines is an important value for nurses at Dallah Hospital. The Nursing Department commitment to providing quality patient care is highlighted through its participation in continuous quality improvement initiatives, which require regular auditing of practice and feedback from patients.

  • Our Mission

We believe that providing appropriate and timely care must be based on scientific evidence. We aim at cost-effective and efficient care, which is congruent with Dallah Hospital’s mission. We possess the desire to promote quality outcomes for the patient, employee and community. This pursuit toward excellence is guided by our quality enhancement and outcome-management programs.

  • Our Goal

The ultimate goal of our nursing care is to provide safe passage for all patients in the health system with care directed toward their restoration to the optimal level of health and comfort possible. If restoration of health is not possible, the goal of nursing care will become directed at assisting the patient and family to cope with the outcome of the illness in a way that helps them attain the highest level of psychological and physical comfort possible.

To achieve quality nursing care, we utilize the nursing process to assess, formulate nursing diagnosis, establish patient care goals, plan and implement nursing intervention and evaluate the results of nursing care.

We strive to support the highest level of self-care and independence possible for the patient and family through appropriate nursing interventions

To further support Dallah Hospital and nursing mission statement, the Department of Nursing has developed the following purpose statements:

  • To develop and maintain nursing care standards which are research based and reflect the standards and policies of Dallah Hospital and the Ministry of Health.

  • To continually monitor quality and develop interventions to enhance the quality of patient care.
