Dallah has the mission and is committed to promote medical services of excellence and outstanding patients care. It operates to the JCI standards for which it is accredited. To maintain such mission and commitment Dallah hospital established various medical specialized centers. Most important of such centers is Dallah Cardiac Center which has secured and maintained comprehensive medical specialized services for patients of heart diseases consciously appreciating such patients need for more care than other patients.
Cardiac Center provides with heart diseases all medical services needed both in their simple and complex and demanding services. It has the advantage of being able to offer a comprehensive service that may be needed for diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions on the same site.
In addition to being equipped with advanced medical technology, Cardiology Department has qualified medical team with qualification and wide experiences.
The Cardiac Center:
Outpatient Clinics:
Consulting clinics providing outpatients visits consultation.
The clinics are staffed with three qualified and experienced Consultant Cardiologists.
Open clinics are staffed with Cardiology Specialists and located within the Open Specialists Clinics
Morning and evening clinics operate throughout the week days.
The Cardiac Center Have the non-invasive diagnostic facility that offers diagnostic procedures as follows:
1. Electric recording of the heart beat {Electocardiography (ECG)}.
2. Examination of the heart muscle and valve performance using ultrasound and Doppler flow imaging (Echocardiography).
3. Examination of the heart muscle and valve performance using ultrasound and Doppler flow imaging (Echocardiography) through the gullet using and endoscope.
4. Continuous ambulatory 24 hours electrical (ECG) monitoring and recording of the heart beat to detect heart beat irregularities and abnormalities. (Holter).
5. Examination of the heart by stress testing as required by patient diagnostic needs and according their physical capabilities to provide detailed specific diagnosis. These tests yield information regarding coronary artery disease and heart muscle function and include:
a. Examination by exercise testing while monitoring electrical tracing of the heart beat ECG monitoring while walking on treadmill. (Exercise Stress Test)
b. Examination of heart performance while stressing the heart using infused medications (Pharmacological Stress Testing).
c. Examination of heart performance and adequacy of perfusion of the coronary arteries of the heart by combining Stress testing and nuclear imaging using a GAMA Camera. Thallium Stress Testing, Persantin Thallium Stress Testing, Dobutamine Thallium Stress Testing).
d. Examination of heart performance and adequacy of coronary flow Stress testing and evaluation of the heart performance using Echocardiography. (Dobutamine stress Echocardiography)
Coronary Care Unit:
Dallah Hospital has established a new state of the art, Coronary care unit in the Cardiac Center for care for patients with acute and emergency coronary artery problems like heart attacks and coronary chest pain. It also offers intensive care for patients who are critically ill with other serious heart conditions and patients after open heart surgery.
The unit has 11 single rooms equipped with the latest and advanced equipment for very close intimate observation and monitoring of patients with heart disease.
Such equipment includes:
Sophisticated technology for continuous ECG (Heart beat monitoring) and for monitoring and recording of all measurable functions of the heart function and coronary blood flow and breathing functions parameters. The installed technology provides monitoring from inside patients rooms or remotely at the nursing station or substations.
Continuous intensive patients care by a highly qualified medical team and a highly qualified and dedicated nursing team.
Cardiac Wards:
14 bedded ward offers specialized normal cardiac care and Intermediate Cardiac Care for patients with heart problems. All beds and be areas are equipped to allow observation of patients with cardiac problems directly admitted or transferred from Coronary care units after completion of Coronary care and improvement of condition .The facility in the wards allows continuously remotely monitoring patients heart beat using a wireless system technology (Telemetry).
Following patients are usually looked after in the Cardiac Ward:
- Patients with chronic heart conditions
- Patients transferred from Coronary care unit after completion of acute coronary care and improvement.
- Patients for and following cardiac catheterization and after Angioplasty and stenting.
- Patients transferred form Coronary Care Unit after improvement and stabilization, following open heart surgery.
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory:
1. The cardiac Catheterization Laboratory in Dallah hospital is equipped with advanced technology. It uses digital technology for imaging, recording and image analysis of Coronary Angiograms. Two cameras are used for image recording. This yields high visibility for the operator to that helps in evaluating the case accurately and hence facilitates accurate and proper diagnosis and treatment.
2. Work in the Catheterization Laboratory, for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, are carried out by team of consultants with good reputation and who are highly qualified and with wide experience in this field nationally and regionally.
Medical team performs catheterization for the following purposes:
Cardiac Catheterization and coronary angiography for diagnosis of narrowing and blockage of coronary arteries. (Diagnostic Coronary Angiography)
Cardiac Catheterization for diagnosis of heat valves for narrowing and leakage of heart valves. (Left and Right cardiac catheterization for valvular stenosis and regurgitation)
Therapeutic Interventional Cardiac Catheterization for relief of coronary artery narrowing and blockages using balloon inflation and stents deployment. (Percutenous Coronary Angioplasty and Stenting).
Performance of cardiac catheterization and coronary angiography using radial artery (from the hand). This enables patients to ambulate immediately after the procedure and facilitates earlier discharge from hospital. This gives positive impact on patient's moral and productivity.
Cardiac catheterization for opening of narrowed valves using balloon dilatation without surgical operations. Valve Balloon Valvetomy.
Electrophysiological studies through cardiac catheterization for diagnosing conditions of heart beat irregularities.
To fix pacemaker for increasing and regulating condition of slow heart beat and implantation of advanced pacemaker devices that deliver electric shocks to correct serious heart beat irregularity. (Intracardiac Defibrillator Device ICD )
Implantation of modern and advanced pacemaker devices for treatment of heart failure.
Open Heart surgery:
Open-heart Surgery service at Dallah hospital is a complete service in the private sector and has been operating since 1987. The operating room s at the hospital is one of most important units that support Cardiac Center where all types of open-heart surgery are actively performed and reports good outcome. It has the following advantages:
Operations are performed by highly qualified and experienced surgeons for all stable, critical or emergency cases.
Capability to perform open heart surgery without using Cardiopulmonary bypass, a procedure which is a new method reduces period of admission after the surgery. (used to circulate blood away from the heart during the operation),
Perform open-heart surgeries achieving high results as shown in statistics in the following procedures:
1. Coronary arteries bypass surgery restoration of coronary blood flow and heart ischemic
2. Valves repair and replacement.
The surgical team offers such throughout 24 hours a day
