Patient and Family Teaching Center PTC:
Is a special educational service for patients and families provided by a multidisciplinary team.
Members of the team may include designated staff from Nursing Services ,Medical ,Nutrition Services, Pharmacy Services, and (as needed) Social Work Services. PFE Committee Chairman will coordinate the team.
Services Provided:
The services provided by the center include:
In-Patient Services:
- Daily round for OB-GYNE patients for teaching about Antenatal and Postnatal care.
- Daily round for mothers for teaching about breast feeding
- Health teaching about proper use of medication and drug & food interaction.
- Health teaching about therapeutic diet and nutrition.
- Health teaching about rehabilitation

Out-Patient Services:
- Diabetic Teaching Center.
- Nutrition Clinic

Referral Services:
- Internal Referral: from hospital department to teaching center and / or concerned area.
- External referral : from the hospital to other community social services.

The Public Awareness days:
- Which hold in the hospital areas for public teaching and awareness.

Education Materials:
- There are 45 education materials covering different topic related to patients and families health.
