Scope of work:
All types of surgical subspecialties are practiced at OR of Dallah Hospital for all ages (neonates, pediatrics, adults & geriatrics).
These specialties include:
- Open –heart procedures in various specialties (including procedures on beating heart in addition to by –pass techniques.
- Laparoscopic procedures in various specialties (general surgery, obstetrics & gynecological procedures, pediatrics).
- General surgery.
- Pediatric surgery.
- Ob/gyn surgery.
- Cranial and Neuro surgery.
- Urology.
- Lithotripsy.
- Ophthalmic procedures.
- Orthopedic surgery.
- ENT procedures (including micro laryngo-surgery).
- Plastic surgery.
- Vertebral column surgery.
- Dental and maxilla-facial procedures.
- Thoracic surgery including thoracoscopy & thoracotomy
- IVCF procedures.
- Bariatric surgery.
- Interventional procedures (x-ray & cath.lab).

Operation Room Equipments:
There are nine (9) OR distributed as follows:
- 6 OR rooms at level 2 main OR suite
- 2 OR rooms at level 3 at Delivery suite
- 1 OR room for lithotripsy at level 2
- 3 OR are under construction to be ready for work in near future.

Dallah hospital succeeds to have JCIA evaluation since few months, which adds to our standards and skills.
Each of these rooms is highly equipped on the latest to cope with the needs of our surgeons and anesthetists to facilitate their surgical procedures.
The operative suite is equipped with a very efficient post anesthesia recovery room with 9 beds capacity with all needed facilities, monitors, medical gases , warming machines, suction devices, crash carts, etc.
Operation Room Standards:
- every operating room is installed according to the latest international standards i.e most modern anesthesia machines (dragger) with:
a- Modern ventilation modes, ventilator, monitors including manual & controlled facilities as well as total CO2 calibration.
B-vital signs monitors for continuous monitoring of all vital signs of the patient.
- Modern active scavenge system for controlled drainage of exhaust anesthetic gases & vapours.
- Modern AC system both negative and positive according to the needed standard for every room.
- Operation room tables of the most recent qualities giving all needed positions for every surgical procedure. These tables (dragger) are electronically equipped with remote control (with pack up rechargeable batteries).
- OR ceiling lights are of the latest technology with international specification .
- Very recent x-ray system is available through the VIPRO system , and no more x-ray viewer is used . Also two c0arm machines are available.
- Transportation of patients from OR table to OR trolley and form levels to OR and back is highly controlled to prevent any injury, trauma or hazard to any patient.
- Dressing of patients especially for females is under strict Islamic rules and regulations.
- All OR rooms are equipped with smoke detectors and many fire extinguishers are distributed all over the rooms & corridors.
- All exits from OR rooms & corridors are supplied by Lighted Exit labels.
- Circulation within the OR suite with one inlet and multiple exits to rule for safety and infection control.
