The Laboratory department provides state-of-the art laboratory testing in support of Dallah Hospital Clinical Services, and many other referring clinics and hospitals .
A full range of laboratory services is available. Laboratory staff is also available for inquiries.
The department is multi-sectional and performs age related testing on in-patients and out-patients relative to diagnosis, management of care and wellness maintenance. Age related laboratory procedures are applicable to fetal, neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
The tests provided include individual tests, and disease or organ oriented test profiles related to Clinical Biochemistry, Hematology, Blood Banking, Histopathology, Microbiology, Serology, Immunology and Clinical Microscopy.
Ancillary services include: Point of Care coordination, patient education, and inter- departmental professional acknowledgment of continuing education including regular weekly seminars, and small group discussion.
There are opportunities for on job training and the staff is encouraged to keep their knowledge and skills in laboratory medicine up-to-date. Development of an educational program on defining, identifying and preventing laboratory errors and a regular planning of quality indicators to improve more on the quality of healthcare services given by the department.
The Laboratory utilizes internal and external quality control programs that include batch-to-batch and day-to-day internal quality control.
Laboratory Infection control and Safety Management Program are applicable.
