Radiology

The department of Radiology and medical imaging in Dallah Hospital provides patients with wide range of high quality diagnostic imaging  and therapeutic services and procedures.


Services provided are:

1. General X-ray:
     Machines: 3 digital general  and 3 portable.

2. Sonography (Ultrasound):
    Machines - 5. 120 cases/day, portable – 1.

3. Computed Tomography (CT Scan):
     Machines:

     -GE  VCT XTe 64 slices.

     -GE – CTi single – slice.

4. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI):
    GE Signa contour.

5. Nuclear Medicine including Nuclear cardiology:
    - Diagnostic.
    - Therapeutic, using radioactive iodine (131 I) in treatment of thyroid diseases.
    - Machine: Dual-head Gamma Camera Sopha/GE.

6. Bone Mineral Densitometry (DXA) for osteoporosis:
    Machine: Hologic – Delphi.

7. Digital Fluoroscopy and Angiography:
    Machine: Siemens-Axiom Artis.

8. Mammography (Breast Imaging):
    Machine: GE-Senographe 800T.

9. Panoramic (Dental):
     Machine: Kodak digital-Kodak 8000C.
 

 CME & Training:

- Internal weekly CME activity for doctors and technologists, as well as hospital weekly CME.
- About 5-10 undergraduate technicians and technologists from different institutes in Riyadh especially from King Saud University undergoing their training in our Department every year.
 

 Recent accomplishments:

• Shift from hard copy films to completely filmless throughout the hospital using picture archiving and communication system (PACS).
• Efficient contribution in hospital effort to obtain JCI Certification.
• Completely digital environment.
